Hey guys. I’m alive. Hooray! Haha. In seriousness though, it’s been a crazy semester. I’ve officially been promoted to the ranks of second semester college senior! I know you’re probably thinking, hey wait a second, Rebecca weren’t you just a college junior like 2 weeks ago. If so then you would be correct! I’m graduating a year early. THANK YOU AP CREDITS. The registrar officially has me down as a graduating senior which means I can claim hardcore senioritis with complete legitimacy now. Let’s momentarily forget about the fact that I have a final exam and three more final papers as well as a summer program to complete before I can actually celebrate. Shh…I won’t tell my senioritis if you don’t haha. Continue reading
Omigosh you guys happy holidays!! I didn’t fall off the world again, although I was in backwoods Michigan for a while so that counts right? Haha only kidding, although it was quite an experience.
I hope everyone had a wonderful whatever December holiday you celebrate! I’m looking forward to the new year how about you? However, in preparation for the new year I would like to tell you another Rebecca’s College Adventures story in hopes that maybe this will be the last one and I can start being a grown up or something? Maybe? I’ll try my best!
I don’t think I’ve ever felt like this much of a sleep-deprived college student. Last year I pretty much had all my sh*t together, but now with taking five classes and all the tutoring I do, sometimes I think I’m losing my mind. It probably doesn’t help that I had a midterm on Monday and didn’t start studying until Saturday and then stayed up until…not going to tell you what time cramming the night before. Let’s just say, coffee flavored candy makes a really awesome breakfast the morning of an exam. Don’t tell my mom–she always made us eat eggs or other healthy stuff before a test when I still lived at home haha. In my defense, it was my grandma who gave me the candy so clearly this is all on her XD. Continue reading
Hello friends, time for another story about Rebecca’s college laundry adventures. So you know how they say that your brain doesn’t fully develop until you’re 26 or something? I feel that is applicable to the fact that somehow I keep neglecting to do my laundry until I literally have nothing respectable left to wear. This leads me to make some uh avant-garde fashion choices on the days that I actually end up doing laundry because I usually put all my clothes in the machine and then realize I have nothing to wear to go retrieve said clothing. I love oatmeal cookies. There’s something about the chewy deliciousness that makes me incredibly happy. I also love raisins, but since I know that raisins are like kryptonite for most people, I decided to go with a safer mix-in. Seriously though, what is it that people don’t like about raisins? If anyone can tell me why they dislike them I’d be curious to know. Continue reading
Pudding cookies. O’ can I write an ode to thee? Look at me waxing poetic. Seriously though. Pudding cookies were one of those things that I always saw other food bloggers post, but always thought I was too cool to make myself. Pudding mix in a cookie? Psh. Why would anyone do that? NOW I UNDERSTAND. The pudding makes these cookies extra soft and chewy–almost bakery quality and they have a flavor that is SO addictive. If you’re a crazy chocoholic, I understand, my advice would be to substitute the vanilla pudding mix for chocolate pudding mix. I cannot be held responsible if your head implodes from chocolate overload. Continue reading
I am definitely in the pie crust fan club. Everyone knows that’s the best part of the pie (except my mom, but she’s weird haha). I may or may not be the horrible person who breaks off the crust of anything that gets left in the fridge…never happened. Don’t blame me. Ahem anyway so yea pie crust is pretty much the best thing ever, which is why pie crust cookies and I were destined to be together. I mean seriously if you’re looking for the ideal crust to filling ratio these are the way to go! Ok not gonna lie I also pick the crumble topping off coffee cake…jeez I’m such a bad person. Can you really blame me though? It used to drive my parents crazy especially over Passover when we lived off this kosher for Passover coffee cake and my sisters and I would attack the topping and leave my parents with a pitted mess that was completely devoid of all topping. I can’t be the only one who does this? Does anyone else ruin desserts for other people like me? Please share if you do–it’ll make me feel better haha. Continue reading
